NTRP Appeals

Appeal Procedures
There are various procedures for appeals depending on the rating type.  Rating type C, M or T must appeal online using the Automated Appeal. Most appeals fall under the "Year-End Appeal" category. All Year-End appeals must be done using the automated appeal process on TennisLink.

To appeal your Year-end or Mixed exclusive Rating online, simply look up your rating by entering your USTA Number, then click on the "Appeal Rating" link (located in the far right column next to your rating type) . You will be guided through the process. Remember, your "Rating Type" must be a B, C, M, or T.

A championship benchmark computer rating may not be appealed following the championship year it is received except for an intervening, permanent disabling injury/or illness (See 2010 USTA League Regs 3.05C).

Year-End Appeals must be filed online

Click HERE to appeal your Year-End Rating (see instructions below)

Instructions: Go to TennisLink, enter your USTA number and click "Go," click on "Appeal Rating" link and follow instructions.  There is no deadline for filing year-end appeal.

Medical Appeals (must be filed by mail)
Medical Appeals must be accompanied by an attending physician’s evaluation of the injury and all other substantiating information to include the prognosis for recovery with a timeline. Please submit a
hard copy of the Medical Appeal Form and the physician's evaluation of the injury to the USTA Wyoming office.

  •
Permanent disabling injury or illness occurring after year-end ratings were achieved.
  •
Any medical appeal that is granted by the District NTRP Oversight Group must also be reviewed by the National NTRP Oversight Group. If an appeal is denied at a higher level, it will over rule the local decision and the medical appeal will be denied. Since there must now be National review of any medical appeals that are granted at the local level, it may take longer than normal for a decision to be rendered. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the decision.

Mixed Doubles Exclusive Appeals may be filed online

Click HERE to appeal your Mixed Exclusive Rating (See instructions below)

Instructions: Go to TennisLink, enter your USTA number and click "Go," click on "Appeal Rating" link and follow instructions.
There is no deadline for filing year-end appeals.
