Angela Emery -- New ITA President

Angela Emery, a USTA WY Board member was elected President of the USTA Intermountain Section this past weekend at the ITA Annual meetings in Denver, CO. Angela is from Casper, and is the WY Representative to the ITA Board.

“The fact that Angela was chosen to lead the Section as President speaks volumes about the ITA’s commitment to Inclusion.  Wyoming is the smallest District in the entire country, yet the ITA has chosen a leader from Wyoming to head up the entire Section.  I really look forward to working with Angela and the entire board to take the Intermountain Section to new heights.” Rob Scott, ITA Executive Director

USTA Intermountain Section is one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association. They are a not-for-profit organization committed to growing the game of tennis by offering quality recreational and competitive programs for people of all ages and abilities. Intermountain boasts more than 39,900 individual and over 450 organizational members in its six Districts (states); Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
I could not be more pleased with Angela's election as President of ITA. Although we are a small district, this demonstrates Wyoming's emerging leadership role in the USTA community, and I am confident that Angela will lead the Section to even greater achievements over the next two years”, said Julie Francis, President USTA WY.
Tennis is an integral part of life in the Intermountain region, and our players flock to the courts amidst some of the most breathtakingly beautiful backdrops in the country. Whether playing for fun, fitness or friendship, players in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming love the game of tennis.
We are very excited about Angela being elected President of the ITA, said David Boon (USTA WY Executive Director). "She has shown exceptional leadership on the ITA Board and we are pleased that she now has the opportunity to lead the 6 state (CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, and WY) Intermountain Section."
