What is Tennis Tuesday?
The Alpine Tennis Association in collaboration with USTA WY is starting a National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) program at the University of Wyoming (UWYO).
NJTL was started in 1969 by tennis legend Arthur Ashe and is a program that incorporates tennis, education and life skills to make youth successful both on and off the court. There are hundreds of NJTL programs across the US with one of the flagship programs at Stanford. Now we have one at UWYO!
This summer we will be piloting an 8 week program that will include tennis, ACE literacy and mathematics, and First Serve Lifeskills. We have 16 students from 3rd – 6th graders that are participating in this exciting opportunity. The UWYO NJTL Chapter is under the direction of Annie Bergman.
