FIRST SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT, WYOMING LEVEL 5 DISTRICT CUP, WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

Cheyenne's Josh Cossitt successfully hosted one of the first junior tournaments to be held in Wyoming since the March shutdown, the Wyoming Level 5 District Cup, at Holliday Park in Cheyenne.  Players participating came from all USTA Intermountain Districts to include Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Montana and Wyoming. Pictured above is an example of the bag tags that each player received for participating in the tournament.

"It's been a tough year for tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic disruption.  However, with tennis being a natural physical distancing sport and player protocols for playing tennis safely outlined by Josh, the first tournament was a success," said USTA Wyoming Executive Director Peg Connor.

Congratulations to Josh and all the parents and players for helping make the tournament safe, fun and successful!
